How we work with licensed carriers, what happens to your waste, and what your duty of care means.
Licensed waste carriers
Van-Go Clearance arranges collections through an approved network of licensed waste carriers. The carrier who attends your collection is responsible for transporting your waste under their own licence.
We ask every carrier in the network to hold and maintain the registrations required for the work they carry out on our behalf.
Registration details and the approved carrier list are to be confirmed.
Your duty of care
Anyone producing waste has a responsibility to make sure it is passed to someone authorised to take it. Booking through Van-Go is intended to give you a clear record of who collected your waste and when.
Keep your booking confirmation and any paperwork provided at collection. If you need a copy of the record for a collection, contact us with the booking reference.
The waste transfer documentation issued at collection is to be confirmed.
What happens to your waste
Waste collected through the network is taken to a licensed facility for sorting, with the aim of recovering and recycling as much as possible and sending as little as possible to landfill.
We do not publish recovery or recycling figures we cannot evidence.
Recycling and recovery rates are to be confirmed.
Items we may not be able to take
Some materials need specialist handling and cannot be collected as general waste. If you are unsure about something on your list, tell us before you book and we will confirm whether it can be included.
Listing an item that turns out to need specialist handling may mean it has to be left behind, so it is always worth checking first.
The definitive list of excluded items is to be confirmed.
Insurance
Van-Go Clearance Limited holds Employers Liability cover of £10,000,000 per occurrence and Public and Products Liability cover of £2,000,000 for each and every claim — in the aggregate in respect of Products Liability. Both policies are underwritten by MSIG Europe SE.
Cover is renewed annually. Our broker’s letter of cover is below, and we can send it directly if a commercial client, managing agent or landlord needs it for their records.
The carriers in the network are separately responsible for holding the insurance appropriate to the work they carry out, under their own policies.
